Instead my mac would show connecting, then disconnecting, then it would give an error about being unable to negotiate a PPP connection.<BR/><BR/>Others are also having this problem. I think (not sure) that your fix addresses a different problem with OS X 10.4.*. The error under leopard seems to be due to a new default in leopard, where it requires a special kind of authentication for PPP connections that is not widely supported by the mobile phone carriers.<BR/><BR/>To fix this different problem on 10.5.4, the answer is to go into the<BR/><BR/>/Library/Preferences/SystemConfigurations/preferences.plist<BR/><BR/>and change the property CCEnabled from 1 to 0 for the Bluetooth-Modem interface. <BR/><BR/>I hope this helps someone.
