Current USB Software

Alpine - This is the latest version of "PC-Pine". I use Pine on my server at home and wanted to see what Alpine was like without messing with my current install.

Pico - This is part of the Alpine install I can't get rid of.

ClamWin Portable - Portable Antivirus.

FileZilla Portable - Portable FTP client

FireFox Portable - Feature rich and extendable web browser. Used with a number of add-ons.

GVim Portable - I like to use Vim on my Linux install and this is a good way to have the same environment when I travel.

IrfanView - This is a simple picture viewer.

Mozilla Thunderbird - Feature rich and extendable email client. Used with a number of add-ons.

Notepad++ portable - This is just to test really, I'm sure it doesn't do anything GVim can't do but I wanted to test it!

The OpenOffice Suite (Portable Edition) - This is useful when I find myself on a PC with no office software.

Pidgin Portable - The update to Gaim, used for Instant Messaging.

Portable Skype - I rarely use this but have it handy just in case. (I also can't find a reliable link to this, I will update if / when I can).

Putty Portable - This is an invaluable SSH client which I use to tunnel my connections to my home server for extra security when out and about (or at work!).

TrueCrypt - I keep an encrypted 'drive' available for any sensitive data. Use the information under 'Traveler Mode' to make TrueCrypt portable.

VLC Media player - I have yet to find a player that can play as many formats as this, plus it is available as a portable app!

WinSCP - This is a new addition to my Portable apps, it enables me to securely connect and brows files on my home server. So far very impressed!

In addition I have a couple of games such as Sudoku Portable, Mines Perfect Portable and SupperTux Portable to help pass the time!
